Meet Richard, Co-Founder
Richard co-founded FirePrevent in 2016, bringing over 18 years of invaluable experience in the fire safety industry. Renowned for his ingenuity and practical knowledge of fire safety, Richard excels in delivering effective and innovative solutions to our clients.
With an honours degree in Fire Science from the University of Leeds, Richard is a distinguished member of the Institution of Fire Engineers and is registered on the life safety fire risk assessors list. His expertise extends across the UK and North America, where he has successfully managed fire safety engineering projects, including delivering pioneering sprinkler design solutions for high-rise developments in New York City.
Alongside his fire engineering work, Richard spent 11 years in various operational roles in West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service including as a fire-fighter, breathing apparatus instructor and crew commander in Leeds City centre.
From this extensive experience, Richard’s technical proficiency spans all across the discipline, specialising in crafting fire safety strategies for residential buildings and conducting meticulous assessments of external wall fire spread.
Meet Jo, Co-Founder
As a co-founder of FirePrevent since 2016, Jo plays a pivotal role in driving the day-to-day operations of our business with her meticulous and proactive approach. With over 19 years of experience in administrative and office management roles within large multinational corporations, Jo brings a wealth of expertise in supporting senior leadership personnel.
A registered PRINCE2 practitioner, Jo excels in developing and streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and organisation within our company. She is often the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional service delivery.
